More D&D Rambling? More D&D Rambling. Life has been a bit stressful lately and this is a nice distraction! Updates on recently played characters:
Astrophelle (level 12) has a magical girl transformation sequence now and her sword talks to her??? The DM has written no notes for his personality besides 'a lot', but he reminds me a lot of some combination of Swiftwind and Seahawk from She-Ra. xD The transformation is very She-Ra too, giving Astrophelle long flowing hair and dress.
Hexaline (level 4) was feeling a bit sad after one of her friends died to resurrect another friend. But last session she was able to ask a man to make her a dress out of spun gold, and it is gorgeous and gives her magical bonuses and helped her to see there is still beauty in the world worth reaching for! She currently aspires to be a creature everyone loves for her magic and beauty.
Theodor (level 5) is below half health and facing his vampiric sire. The party members who somehow had not worked out Theo was a vampire finally know, and so hopefully he survives this encounter and they can talk it out! I talked to my DM and if he dies, he will lose the protection of his god and become a vampire spawn, which would...really suck but I think narratively this is how I want it to go if he does get killed! As Theo is very scared of losing himself to his Poorly Concealed Vampirism and it colours a lot of his behaviour.
If he does survive though, his favourite Hot Wizard will be keen to hear all about this adventure I'm sure!!!!
Nassi (level 12) is a guest PC I play maybe once a year in a friend's campaign. She has recruited the party to help her release some imprisoned archfey who can help close rifts between the material plane and feywild...however, now they're stuck in a time loop and it's like??? Really weird! But hopefully we can resolve that this Monday's session...
To enter the fey prison the party had to confess a truth, a lie, a secret and a regret. Nassi confessed a regret- that she wasn't strong enough to save her previous party, who all died to shadows in a feywild encounter she herself barely survived- and I am all about that angst!!!!!
