I like to think of Philza and Techno as two immortals that just kinda meet up every 300 years or so, completely randomly, and start some shit

Phil: hello old friend, wanna take over the world

Techno, who hasn't seen Phil since 300AC: count me in

One time they meet when Phil was about to be executed and Techno laughed at him right after he send 30 wolfs or so to rescue him

Somewhere in 1690 they had a duel with some poor King for the right to be able to play golf in his gardens bc they were bored and later went out for tea

The other time they met at a supermarket and go: let's rob this place

Techno, reading the newspaper in 1952: omfg Phil why did you put a curse on a piece of Ocean...

Philza, chilling in a museum: hold up that's Techno's knife. I need to give it back to him

They never call, don't write letters, don't even send the crows to communicate, yet they always find eachother. And they always 100% forget any impulse control when they are together.

If I had to pick a reason why people latched on to c!Tommy as much as they did I would say it is the hope and innocence that was evoked from his perspective (and that the man literally uploaded all his perspectives for easy rewatching).

Tommy's character is in turns tragic as he is hopeful by a purely driven innocence based on compassion and wanting to connect and be around people. No matter who it was that shared the screen with him there was always the will to work together with them, spend some time and maybe even forgive and trust. Something that during the pandemic and even after that was so hard for people to do.

He played the kinda guy that suffered and was left alone SO much that when given the opportunity to turn to a person he would. While at the same time upholding a good judge of character, growing by his own and walking by his ideals as much he could.

He suffered so much and is ready to give and fight for his friends, denies that Jack deliberately wanted to hurt him because that would mean on more person that he couldn't turn to, he still cared about Jack even if he was shit at showing it, checks on Tubbo and asks if Ranboo makes him happy, never telling Ranboo how he feels but defending him against Wilbur and taking him on adventures, asking to see his friends on Christmas, making a beach party for them, giving up his discs, dancing with Wilbur, being mad at him post revival but still protecting him from mobs.

I just find this loud Minecraft Roleplay OC so incredibly charming in the way that there is so much kindness, energy and love to give but not to the expense of strength and personal development. C!Tommy may be reduced to a traumatised character at the moment but that doesn't stop him from being so unbelievable hopeful to me and many others when we were stuck at home fearing for our lives while the government burns around us and people are screaming. Be kind, make friends, find joy and a reason to keep going. And be mad and loud but always find compassion in the people that try to be better by you.

Or maybe it's just me. Who knows.

Yeah,,,,,,, I took it down bc I don't plan on ever finishing it. Bc reasons.

I can say tho: it was supposed to have a very, very anime like Uno Battle between all the people Techno befriends. And it ends with only Tommy and Techno playing in the end,bceveryone else decided murdering each other is a much more fun alternative. No one wins.
