Nat & Will

this is one ship I can’t get behind, and (I’m only on S3 atm) with the writers continually backing it, it’s making me really really dislike Will.

He continually undermines Nat as a doctor due to her femininity, calling her emotional on several occasions

He cheats on her while on ‘a break’ and yet she still apologises for ‘not being perfect’

Will is being a complete dickhead to Natalie and it goes completely against her character to stand for it. She’s a successful ED doctor, a single mother, a widow and still perserveres. It’d be a shame to have her character continually put up with Will and his BS.

anyone else feel like the ED staff have lost touch with each other?

like they all used to be really close? and now it seems like each of their storylines are running parallel with each other but never quite meeting. the show feels so divided between the three main couples (Manstead, Rhekker and Sextoi) and everyone else is just in the background and there’s nothing really tying them together anymore :( makes me sad because of how much like a family they all used to be

I feel like there’s not enough straight rep in med so...

flags for the greatest straight couple on the show! hopefully they get more screen time soon :)

the Nat trailer for 4x10 took years off my life

what the FUCK was it oh my god

it was so slow and there was no sense of urgency it’s like nothing was even happening? the woman’s death was so sudden and such a non-event there was basically no reaction from anyone? all the acting was so wooden

I know she’s also a paediatrician but why is Nat only being given pregnancy cases? That’s not even the role of a paediatrician lmao. I miss in s1-3 when she would have cases that weren’t just pregnancies or children (obviously they were the majority but she still had others). Will’s a plastic surgeon and Ethan’s in the navy but they don’t focus on those; why is it only Nat??

anyway it was incredibly underwhelming, and honestly I’m disappointed at the way chicago med has gone downhill

what exactly are the writers doing with Nat and Dr Charles? I don’t know when it started with Nat but she’s suddenly just the Pregnancy Doctor?? and Dr Charles has just fucked right off except for like 2 minutes every episode to help someone else’s patient because he doesn’t have his own anymore??? some of the most interesting patients have been psych cases and now they’re basically non-existent. I feel like this could partly be because Reese left but it’s not a great explanation - he had cases in s1 before she joined psych

the Nat thing confuses me because although she’s always been the more “mother-ish” doctor it’s never been like this before? she used to get a good number of women/children but now it’s basically just a load of pregnant women. they need more female doctors because Nat’s being lumbered with all these cases and it isn’t giving her a chance to grow or develop (which, despite everything, I would actually like to see)

idk it just confuses me because Nat and Dr Charles actually used to be enjoyable characters and now? nothing
