Natasha: Luka got drunk and tried to destroy our marriage certificate.

“Oi, Leonova, you about done for the day?” He calls as he emerges from the shadows - deftly sidestepping the woman as she turns round. A grin tugs at his lips, bag slung low over his shoulder. “C’mon, I’ll walk you home. Was on my way to you anyway. Your last batch fetched a good price, and I’ve got your cut.” Running into Natasha on his way is almost better for him - Grusha he had no quarrel with, but Dominika’s evil eyes never seemed to cease, and in truth, it scares him quite a bit. Not that he plans on ever letting on, of course. “You know, it’s a wonder you still get any business, considering how many things go ‘missing’ while the patron is under your care. Nicked anything good today?”

He couldn’t help but squirm in place where he was tied up. Legs were shackled and wrists were bound in place as he stood there trying to think of some way out of this. How could he and the rest of Captain Vaganov’s crew be captured? So easily. And what’s worse by girls no less. Granted he had heard the rumors about the romanov girls, but he thought it was myths. Legends to make men laugh in pubs and drink to the idea of a ship full of women to mingle with if they ignored the old wives tale of women being bad luck.
Maybe that was why their reputation was so threatening. Women aboard a ship were bad luck- so imagine a single ship filled with nothing but women? Still he didn’t think it could be all that bad till one of them seemed to linger around his area a lot more. As the day went on and rumors spread through the remaining crew did he figure out who this woman was. Sort of. Natasha. A siren or so the story went. “...you don’t actually eat men, do you?” He laughingly asked one day as he was allowed out for a walk aboard the deck to stretch his legs with her accompaniment. Supposedly she was a siren as the story tells, and she was certainly gorgeous enough to be one, but for some reason he found it a bit hard to believe.
As hard to believe how incredible she was with that sword.
“Stop, that hurts!” -natashaleonova, injured by a client, perhaps? For Luka
@natashaleonova
Yet still he held on firmly to her, careful not to place any more pressure or hurt her more than she already was. The Lieutenant continued his inspection of the woman as he tried to find the marks her roommate so kindly pointed out with a smug grin and lascivious remark on how another man left marks of ownership on his girl. For a half second he liked the reference of Natasha being his girl. But only for that half a second as his mind flickered back to the idea of her being marked. And knowing her roommate it wasn’t in the way lovers usually do considering how pleased she looked to see him rush after the other girl. So he ignored the hissing remark on pain to search for the injury- the tell-tale bruises were found.
“-who did this?” Was the low seemingly calm response as his hands moved further down her arms to keep from accidentally hurting her further now that he knew for sure. She was hurt and whomever did this was going to pay. “Natasha, I need you to tell me who did this.”
❛ Well, your taste in men always did leave something to be desired. ❜ -Natashaleonova @ Liesel

“-don’t say that. Please.” Was the soft almost pleading words as the usual gentleness in her eyes turned into something more achingly painful. “I know I’ve made bad choices in the men I’ve been with…but please don’t tell me you haven’t ever done the same because some nights you can’t bear the idea of being alone. Because you just so desperately need to feel wanted. Loved. Because you’re scared that it’ll never happen for you.” A hand came up to swipe at her eyes briefly as she recalled her string of bad choices in men. The last one especially- Nikolai. She had been desperate. Young and terribly alone in a city that was so vastly different than she last remembered it when she returned to St. Pe- Leningrad.
Her head tilted down for a moment with eyes closing tightly. “-Gleb is different though. He’s not a wrong choice- he never would be. There isn’t anything I’d want to change about him, though I’m sure there’s at least a thousand to change about me. He will always be the right choice. He’s a good man- the best one I’ve ever known. That much I’m sure of.”
“You could’ve been killed” to Luka from Natasha (natashaleonova)
@natashaleonova
“-you knew what I did when you met me, tasha.” It was probably why she had initially picked him out. Aside from the first introduction at the General’s office. Still he couldn’t help but grimace slightly as he felt her hands plying at his shoulders and just so happen to find the one sore muscle that had been pulled in the midst of the chaos today. Riots rarely happened anymore, but there were still idiots who liked to pick fights for the hell of it. People still robbed and stole and…humanity was humanity and sometimes things got rough.
“Besides I got the least of it.” A finger came up to tap at a spot on his jaw that had been nicked by a knife. “-aside from the medic saying it would leave an interesting scar.”

She’s so angry you guys - Absolutely accepting
“Natasha, you’re beautiful!” She pleaded, barely resisting the urge to cup her students’ cheeks between her hands. Still, if she had her heart set on it, maybe Lily could play damage control -
“Just... Something meaningful. Something from home?”
Loves: She's fun and fashionable and funny and... Lily is also strong and professional and smart. I admire her and look to her as a role model. I... I love her? Hates: That she has such high expectations of me. And of Luka. It's... a lot. She also sees through lies too easily, it makes me think I'm losing my edge...

Lily skimmed the note before tucking it away in her purse. Both were a reminder to her, but especially the latter - she forgot how intense she could be, if only because she believed so much of them. As for the lies?
“Pauvre chose... I’m a confidante, I can’t turn that off.” She smiled in spite of herself, though perhaps she wouldn’t call on her skill quite so much.
