Imagine Steve's reaction to finding out Sharon is Peggy's niece
"Carter?! As in Peggy Carter?!"
"Yes, Steve," Sharon says, rolling her eyes. "She's my aunt."
"What."
"I thought you knew!"
"Sharon, I used to think you were a nurse in the infectious unit and your name was Kate. I don't know anything about you."
Sharon has the good grace to look a little sheepish and shrugs. "Sorry?"
Steve feels a little weird, abruptly, glancing down at his coffee and scone. He'd taken up Natasha on her gentle reminder to ask Sharon out but now it feels...weird.
"I don't. Uh..." He flushes, stammering, unsure how to tell her. Sharon's lips curl into a small smile.
"Oh, did you think this was a date, Rogers?" she grins. "I'm already dating someone."
"What? Who?" Then why did Natasha...?
"A certain little spider you know..." And Steve's eyes widen. What a little shit. Natasha just wanted to force them to actually meet. She probably lied about not knowing who Peggy was too when she saw that picture of her.
"She's an asshole," he says, exasperated, and Sharon laughs, liking this playful, human version of Steve that she doesn't know yet.
Later, he totally calls Natasha up to yell at her, but he and Sharon do have standing coffee dates at least once a month (barring superhero duties).
