Zach turned off the TV in his office and shook his head. Great, he moves to a new city only for the damn metas to start running wild, way to get things off to a good start. Still, he stood and walked to the window of his office, looking out he could already see a line forming outside his front door, it seemed life went on. And folks still had nights out, super-powered threats or no. Gotta love people’s stubbornness. He smirked and stepped away, leaving the room and calling for Barney, the doorman, to open shop. “Hector,” he yelled to the barman, “Half-price the drinks tonight, folks could use it.” The barman nodded, the lights went up, the band kick started and the patrons came in heading straight for the bar.
Zach stood at the bottom of the staircase, the calculated pose looking very natural, and watched his money come in, they had a cabaret act on tonight, should be a good watch. He was brought from his thoughts when someone approached, he tilted his head and smirked,
“Alright, and what am I autographing tonight?”
