Ill add #34: Stars to the 100 theme challenge, also drawn by @heromug. Just a couplea goofs, chilling in space ✨✨✨
GA's birthday is March 24th, so Nate took her on a picnic, despite hating the outdoors and bugs and such. They had a good time though! Art by @heromug
100 theme challenge #37: Eyes
Georgia's eyes were beautiful; Nate had always thought this. They were much prettier than his own eyes, a hazel that was so dark they bordered on brown.
They were the kind of green that he never got tired of looking at, a soft, pale green with hints of blue in them. It was truly a lovely color, and they were so... Expressive.
They sparkled when she was happy, looking as if they had pieces of glitter swimming in them (which Nate also thought to be very _Georgia_). They got darker when she was angry, a deep and stormy green, that he also thought was pretty. They were like that when he'd met her, furious at him for all but falling on top of her. He wondered how different his life would have been if shed been less flighty, and hed been less clumsy, if theyd never bumped into each other, but dismissed it. Hed have found her eventually, he was sure.
Her eyes swam when she cried, which he had only seen twice, the red ring around them making them even more striking and pale, though he never saw them for long before Georgia hid them away and told him not to look at her, because she was "an ugly crier". Whenever she said that, he fought the urge to roll his eyes. A magazine model that was an ugly crier? An impossibility.
He didn't get to study them too often, but he would when he got the chance. He would sneak glances when they watched movied together, or when she spoke animatedly about her favorite comic books, or when she and Reyna were chatting away about this and that. He liked her eyes best when she was talking about something that made her happy, because he liked seeing her happy, of course. Still, even if they were annoyed with him, or angry, or upset, they were always beautiful, to the same degree.
"Hey, Nate?" Her voice startled him out of his thinking, and he focused on her whole face, and not just her eyes, staring back at him from across the couch. He cleared his throat, and blinked a few times behind his glasses. Did she catched him staring while he was zoned out?
"Yes, Georgia?" He asked, voice a tiny bit shaky, which he hoped she didnt notice. Her lips curled in a way that told him she had.
"I was just thinking... You have the prettiest eyes." She said, smiling that big grin he loved to see.
He could see his flushed reflection in her eyes.
Why Should Anyone Lead You?
Why Should Anyone Lead You?
Leaders take on great risk in the day-to-day performance of their jobs because their success is so dependent on the efforts of their followers – often people not of their choosing. For the most part, leaders don’t get the luxury of “getting the right people on the bus.” Instead they are provided a destination, handed keys, and pointed to a bus full of people picked by someone else – often with…
