Drawing title: “Brewing Up Trouble”.
Submission for Day 23: “Draw a pony up to no good / Draw a pony with twisted thoughts.“ Apple Bloom’s knowledge of potion making offers her a whole host of tools to wreak havoc if she so desires. Here she is mixing something potent.
This piece is intentionally rougher than my previous submissions, incorporating some of the underlying sketching. I am determining if this unrefined look could add character to this piece.
Self-reflection:
The shading on the cauldron may be too extreme for this light source.
Apple Bloom’s stance has been obfuscated by my attempts at rendering. Her right hind leg (relative to us) lacks the necessary definition that consequently makes it look like a stump.
The pupil colour should be darker; it presently blends into her irises too much.
NATG Day 10, Draw a pony full of pride / Draw a pony going above and beyond!
NATG Day 16, Draw different pony generations meeting each other / Draw a pony exploring a brand new world
NATG Day 24, Draw a pony facing a mistake from their past / Draw a pony trying to make things right
NATG Day 12, Draw a pony lost in space / Draw a pony from the far future
NATG Day 15, Draw a ponified version of your favorite book, game, ect / Draw a scene you'd have loved to see in the show. I redid the cover of Chrono Trigger as pony.
NATG DAY 4, Draw a pony discovering something unexpected / Draw a pony hiding something
