That hint of a smile, as if trying to hold back the joy lest the camera takes it away and captures it for posterity. The handmade basket on her head acted like an awning, her cheroot and of course don't miss the coconut shell ( I am guessing) ash tray that she carries right below the cheroot, all of this as the sun filters through the many windows in that awning making this one very special - the old charm.
She followed me through that courtyard exploration that morning and finally did agree for a portrait, one of her friends also joined but that comes later. For now ......portrait stories from Bagan continue.......
