wada sez: As the first Transformers movie introduced Sam in high school, and Revenge of the Fallen followed him to university, this strip seems to take the natural next step of showing him working a job as a young adult—something which Dark of the Moon would go on to similarly explore. However, as Flaherty revealed on Seibertron, he wrote it before Revenge of the Fallen even came out: “I wrote this Mosaic over three years ago and it was intended to follow the events of the first live action movie. If it was unclear, the idea is that despite driving an awesome car that transforms into an alien robot, you still might have to have a crappy job. Thanks to my artistic collaborators who, I think, did great work.” The pizza company he works for, “Haas Bros. Pizza”, is naturally named for Hasbro.
