A pair of mating thrillclaws have taken up residence in the sewers of Lawrence, IL. A local farmer has been noticing his animals disappearing, and now the thrillclaws have started killing and abducting humans. They are capturing live humans to feed to their offspring which are hatching in a few days. To make things worse, Lawrence is hosting a horror movie festival this weekend. Human adrenaline is both a delicacy and drug to the thrillclaws, so the festival is a perfect buffet for them.

Laura Phillips and Rob King are co-owners of the Autumn Hills Mall, but want to demolish it and put up apartments. The city, however, won’t allow it due to zoning rules. Laura offers the idea that if some mysterious injuries were to occur on the mall property, the city may be more inclined to go along with their plans. Laura summons a refracted to do the dirty work, but gets carried away. She decides that she’ll kill Rob in order to take full ownership of the land. And with one murder already planned, what’s a few more innocent bystanders bleeding out in the food court?
