Ding Rong’s Little Shop Of Horrors
One thing about Ding Rong I continually notice is that he LIKES to dissect and take things apart... and he is one hundred percent obsessive compulsive about how everything in his office is displayed and preserved. The more you get to know Ding Rong the more out of kilter he gets, and then you realize just how coldblooded he really is! Except when it comes to Wang Zhi...
I mean, LOOK at what is in those display shelves behind him?! Birds, Bats, a snake, a human skeleton... I would not be the least bit surprised if that skeleton was real and HE was that one who made the previous owner dead before dissecting him! Let’s not forget the fact that someone had to painstakingly clean and re-piece every single bone back together again to make the complete skeleton. Then you wonder why Ding Rong has such a serious gravitas in that very intense dark eyed stare of his!

Yu Ming Xuan is one of those actors that pops up when you least exprect him and when he does, he leaves an unforgettable impression. I have seen him now in the Lost Tomb Reboot, as “Third” Uncle, In Sereneade of Peaceful Joy as the historically famous painter/artist Cui Bai. However, its his turn as Ding Rong in The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty that really elevated him to one of my favourite actors, and he wasn’t even the main or secondary! He was fabulous, to say the least. So here is a real good look at him, not acting...

Yu Ming Xuan aka Nathan Yu as Ding Rong in The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty first got on my radar as Cui Bai in Serenade of Peaceful Joy / Held In The Lonely Castle.
