LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO

soooooooooooooooooo this is a request for nate’s lady friend. i’m not gonna label it “finals”, since i’d like to see the chemistry play out and stuff, but yeah. HERE WE GO.

nate is a waiter and jazz musician, but teaches some cooking classes on the side for extra cash in the restaurant he works for. he’s a hopeless romantic on the hunt for “the one”, but he’s always busy, which makes it hard for him to actually settle down, and when he DOES have a girlfriend, he often loses himself in work and kinda forgets he has a woman??? so anyway one night, this new girl walks in, and she’s charming and REALLY good at cooking. nate makes jokes that she should be the one teaching, she teases him back, etc etc this sort of flirty bantering goes on for weeks. after a couple of weeks, she hangs back after class one night, and is like “hey wat u doen tonight???” and asks nate out. they go on dates, everything is great, and then nate gets super busy with his music and work, meaning that his calls and texts aren’t as frequent and he’s kind of mia, leaving girl with a lot of questions and a lot of hurt feelings. i think she’ll be the one to confront nate about his absence, and after a giant blow up at his apartment, she will walk away, having had enough. they decide that staying friends is best.

girl and giant butt pocket nate end up remaining close friends after the breakup despite a bit of awkwardness and, although it bothers nate immensely, girl starts online dating, since she is new to the area and doesn’t really know anyone in new york aside from nate and his friends. every date she goes on is hilariously bad, and she tells nate about all of them—partly because they make for good stores, but mostly because she wants him to vomit with jealousy (and it works, because nate sucks).

finally, nate will have had enough of watching her go out with other guys and realizes that giving up on the relationship was a really terrible mistake. he’ll set up a fake dating account, connect with girl, and...we go from there. i’d like for them to get together in the end, but i also love drama, so we will see where that goes.

i kind of want her to be younger than him by a few years: somewhere in the age range of 22-25. she’s not from new york, and probably moved to nyc within the last like two months, maybe less. all of her is up to you: personality, name, place of birth--all of it. please message me on here for my aim if you’re interested and we can go through potential faces and drama together!!  i’ll love you forever!!
