Nathan had picked her up to head to Orange Beach with a bunch of the younger people in Frostford. The two left so late because Nathan was still at work when everyone else left and out of everyone that was going, Emily felt the most comfortable with Nathan. An hour into the drive, she started feeling anxious about going at all. No one outside of Nathan invited her. She thought her and Amelia were friends, so why hadn’t she invited her? She started biting her nails looking out the window. What if they showed up and people wondered why she was even there? Should she have just told Nathan no? She looked towards the other with a frown. “Is this weird? That I’m going? Like, I wasn’t even invited by the person putting it together.”
