25. Senseless
"Wait wait wait." Nathalie pressed her fingers to the side of her head, "you want me to pretend to date you."
"Exactly," Harry Clown beams, "do you want to read the script? I have a whole script of how it can go down."
"We're not following your script." She didn't even like his films. Not her sort of humour. She definitely wasn't going to let it become her life.
She might be the villain in a superhero movie, and the subject of a tragedy, but she was not going to be the butt of a joke in a comedy.
"But you'll do it?"
"Why would I do it?"
"Because Gabey's been a total grump since he lost Emilie. He doesn't even leave the house anymore. So he needs a distraction. And Gabey doesn't like things not being about him. So he'll be distracted."
"This is the most senseless plan I have ever heard," and she'd heard some of Hawk Moth's.
"No it's genius. See, he's a track record of being attracted to me,"
"Thanks for the reminder," Nathalie said drily. Though if she could forget the man's personality then perhaps he and Gabriel weren't the worst image.
"And he's used to you being there for him 24/7."
"Not exactly quite that much." She corrected despite the fact that she had moved into Gabriel's house so it probably was that much now.
"So between us there's enough to make him jealous in this scenario."
"Why would I want to make him jealous?"
"Because it's the first step to him moving on. Come on Natty, don't you want to see him smile again?"
The retort on the tip of her tongue died.
She did.
And she'd been working to that by getting Emilie back, only it was starting to look like that wasn't going to happen, and she did worry for Gabriel.
Maybe a distraction wouldn't do him any harm.
"Don't call me Natty and I'll consider it."
I was watching the opening bit of Uncharted 2 and I gotta say... the flirting with whatsisface is very high-key. I am 100% sure that Nate's been there and done that.

You wake one morning and feel the spot next to you in bed; normally where you're soulmate, Harry, lies. To your surprise, he's not there. You walked downstairs to find him in the kitchen, attempting to make breakfast. When he burns his hand, he yells out in pain. You run over to him. "You okay babe?" you ask him. "Damnit Bridgette, this was supposed to be a surprise for you." he yells, frustrated. "Oh stop, it still is. You got up before me." you say, mocking him. "Well hehehe..." Harry fakes laugh, getting closer to you. "Here, i'll fix your booboo." you say laughing to yourself. You take his burnt finger and instead of putting a band aid on it, you place his finger into your mouth, carefully sucking on it. You notice Harry's eyes go dark with lust, and starting to lightly growl to himself. Finally, he reaches his breaking point. He scoops you up in his arms, your legs wrapped around his waist, and carries you over to the table that he nicely set for breakfast. He swipes everything off the table in a quick movement, causing all the dishes to crash onto the floor; but he didn't care. He placed you down onto the table and crashed his lips to yours, feeling your body up and down. He pulls away for a quick second, showing off a mischievous smile, and says "That breakfast wasn't the surprise.." he winks at you and you both have the best morning of your life.
