I think it started out as "James from Pokémon, save me" but as a joke until I was like "Okay I do indeed have feelings for this mf" 😅
Then I started to rewatch Team Rocket clips from all the anime and I made a silly little insert. Over time, I realized James made sense in my head as a genderfluid trans woman and started the estrogen brigade. I think me seeing James as a trans woman without knowing it was probably as a kid. I have been known to transition characters for quite a long time even before knowing what it was. I also realized that me and James do indeed have several things in common and that we would indeed have a good bond irl, so that was another factor.
My James does go by (she/they/he) preference, so I'm not mad you used "he", besides, those are her canon pronouns lol

It was when she was listening to me talking about myself, getting to know me. She got a little flustered after she realized she liked me. She also couldn't stop smiling as well.
