Posted @withregram • @jaimecafesucre We recognize that the land on which we live on is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabe People. The Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We are grateful to have the opportunity to live on this territory. June 21st is recognized as Indigenous Peoples Day here in so-called canada. We acknowledged that systematic racisms and abuse that all Indigenous people have faced and continue to face today. We also acknowledge that we as allies have not done more by demanding and fighting for the right to clean water for all Indigenous nations but also by constantly failing to protect Indigenous women. We hope that on this day, you are able to take a look at yourself and ask if you've done all that you can or will you just refuse to acknowledge the ongoing genocide perpetuated by the Canadian government. We stand with all Indigenous Nations of this land.
