I had a dream
I had a dream.
I was in a giant theater, standing in the dark gray center aisle.
There were blue chairs on my left and red chairs on my right.
On the stage, actors were engaging in a fight scene.
A blue-handled sword labeled censorship clanged against a red-handled sword labeled misinformation.
Both actors wore banners on their backs with the phrase 'My body, my choice.'
Of course, the blue banner had the symbol of Venus, while the red banner had a circle with slash through it.
In the audience, everyone was yelling at me to find my seat.
The blue chairs called me colonizer. The red chairs called me sheep.
I look too much like the enemy of the blue, and speak too much like the enemy of the red.
They all wanted me to sit down, but not in their section.
I turned to look up at the balcony painted with vibrant shades of brown and green.
I made my way up, but noticed that the chairs in the balcony were engulfed in flames.
I grabbed a fire extinguisher, but when I tried to use it, I only fed the fire black, liquid fuel.
I didn't know what to do, so I threw the extinguisher into the flames.
Then everything disappeared into a great mushroom cloud, and I woke up.
Upon waking I realized it was not a dream at all. It is exactly the world we're living in.
