A Special Thali for a Navratri- Ma’er Bhog

Bengalis celebrating Durga Puja is the epitome of the Navratri festival. Ranging from dances and decorative temples to delicious thalis. The different elements during this period makes West Bengal a state worth visiting.

Also known as Annabhog in some areas, it’s a festive thali that’s available only during the Navratri. Mainly, the thali is available only for the last three days of Navratri, i.e. Saptami, Ashtami, and Navami. This thali dates back to the starting of the 20th century and mainly consists of veg delicacies, which prohibits the use onion and garlic.

Homemade Chocolate Muffins

Muffins are a Goan delicacy, that are available in 3 types of flavours. Muffins are of two types and have a lot of variation in the recipes. The quick bread muffin dates back to the 19th century in North America; however, the flatbread traces back to the 18th century in the U.K. and Europe. The Greeks knew muffins as Maphula, or some believe it originates from the French word, Mou-Pain. Our chef uses her family recipe, that makes this dish authentic and yummy.

Winter Special - Homemade Gujarati Undhiyu!!

Undhiyu is a pot full of goodies which is a popular Gujarati dish and is famous during the winter season. It is a specialty of Surat and originates from the Gujarati word ‘Undhu”, which translates to ‘upside-down’. That is because, Gujaratis, traditionally, cook this delicacy upside-down underground in earthen pots. Undhiyu consists of green tuvar dal, sweet potatoes, papadi, methi muthiya, eggplant, and many others. All these ingredients combine together to make a lip-smacking delicacy.

Malpua Rabdi - Nativ Chefs | Traditional Homemade Food

Malpua Rabdi is a Sindhi treat that consists of deep fried malpua combined with sweet milk. Malpua is one of the oldest sweet delicacies in India and when combined with Rabdi, it makes a heavenly combination. Malpua consists of wheat flour and is considered similar to 'pancakes'.
