Dunno if #nativeselfieday is still a thing but hey who cares because this shit is pretty cool. I'm only a little over a quarter Native but this week is Native American Awareness Week at my college and I got to help set up the tipis again this year. I was helping put up the enormous one even though I'm wimpy and only 5'4", but it was so rewarding and I love looking at it like "Hey I did that!" Call me a wannabe all you want or say that I'm "too white" to participate, I really don't care. I am who I am and nobody will dictate that for me.

i’m probably “too light” by all y’all’s standards but let me remind you that a lot of us are super mixed, so it’s totally normal for native people to “look white” as far as skin tones go.

Lol guess I won’t be posting for Native Selfie day after all. I’m the one who suggested its inclusion, but it would appear I’m not even dark enough for Anti-SJWs. Lmao

Here’s the thing.

The vast majority of us are mixed. This is due to our history. If you don’t know that, you don’t have any business talking about Native people.

Hell, my tribe was renamed to the “Delaware”. Our very name was whitewashed.
