hiya! i just wanted to let you know that i adored this is tailor-made so much!! the characterization is completely on point, and rory and jess don’t feel like they’re just being dumb for the slow burn, they’re actually avoiding their feelings for reasons so accurate to the characters. also, jess and emmy’s relationship is the purest thing. i’m super excited for part 3! <3

AND ANOTHER THING. (You know how my reviews go, haha) How much pain could have been avoided if they would just freaking communicate?!!! I don't blame Jess in this particular situation, but Rory!!! Why couldn't she just TELL Jess that Logan wanted some uninterrupted time with Emmy for a few months, but that didn't have to mean Rory herself had to cut him off completely! They could have been talking by phone this entire time, but nooooo, she had to make him feel totally rejected instead! Ugh!

Girl!!! All the pain would have been avoided if they had just spoken to one another! In this particular case, you’re absolutely right that all Rory had to do was tell Jess that Logan wanted some private time with Emmy. But Rory definitely shies away from confrontational situations and she has never really been able to communicate properly about her feelings when she’s flustered. And Logan’s sudden appearance in her life with his demands definitely flustered her. It’s just a case of “when your heart’s involved, it all comes out in moron.”
