The battlefield still stank of smoke and scorched earth, magic crackling in the night air where flames had licked across shattered stone. Natsu’s chest heaved as he stood before you, wild-eyed, hair damp with sweat, body radiating heat like a furnace. You should’ve been focused on the aftermath of the fight, but all you could feel was the raw thrum of his magic still pulsing in your bones, the way his gaze devoured you as though victory wasn’t enough.
