hey, i know my posts are mainly neglected!reader and that i already have some ideas about my "the naturals x reader" au, but what about a the naturals x non-neglected!reader? (happy!reader?)
like, instaed of a reader who is neglected by the batfamily, she just... isn't? she gets along and is part of the family just fine.
and, what if we mix it with an al ghul!reader? just... y/n being damian's big sister and talia's dear daughter. (because we all know that when she has good characterization is when she is a good mother, even with questionable morals and actions)
if we say she is a vigilante, it gets even better. like, let's say she is the fourth batgirl. barbara passed the mantle to cass, who then passed it to steph, who gave it back to cass to become spoiler, and then cass gave it to y/n when she was 13.
y/n is a natural (a profiler? a lie detector? anything else? who knows) and she goes to gotham academy, as a second-year high-schooler. she, somehow, gets the fbi's attention. the naturals program, to be exact.
the fbi has no idea that y/n is a vigilante, much less the daughter of an assassin/granddaughter of the demon's head of the league of assassins. they think she is just a rich gothamite girl. she wants to keep it that way.
well, briggs contacts her and asks if she's interested in joining the program. it takes a while for her to give an answer because, hellooo, bat here! and her family is worried about the danger.
they talk about it a lot, bruce gets babs to do a background check the members of the program to know if it's safe, and they look at every little thing the program does. even talia goes to gotham for a bit, because she wants to know about everything concerning her babies. (yes, y/n is 17 and damian is 13-14, but they're her babies.)
washington d.c. (where the naturals' house is in) is more or less 3-4 hours away from new jersey if we go by car, and by plane is 1 hour. i can see bruce buying a house near where y/n will stay in, just in case, with a batcave of sorts and what they use to 'teleport' (like what they use to go to the watchtower, i can see batman/the batfamily having one that's their in every 'important' place for emergencies) so they can go to the wayne manor and back easily.
y/n doesn't leave the batgirl mantle, but she will only go back in case of emergencies. bruce also does a request that y/n will go back to wayne manor for a weekend every two weeks. the program isn't exactly pleased, but it’s bruce wayne's request, so...
anyway, the whole time it takes for them to choose if y/n will go or not, that is more or less 2 months, the whole batfamily helps her train to 'deceive' the others naturals, in case something that might puth their identities in risk comes up. she trains to make sure that they would have problems figuring out if she's lying or not (lia), what she is feeling (michael), or her in general (cassie and dean).
