We had an Amazon Echo on borrow for the weekend. Wife loves it. Daughter hasn't yet had the courage to loudly say "Alexa..." but I imagine that won't be long. Overall the hardware and voice recognition is than expected - but the "intelligence" is worse than expected (though easily upgraded over coming year). Favorite skills so far Translator who can pronounced Swedish translations from English and (obviously) Spotify. Had issues getting stable service in the Alexa app, added a VPN to pretend like I'm in the New York City which fixed thing.
