One of the products that I noticed the price of in the grocery store venture last weekend is Kefir. A pint of it was just under $13.00. After making my first kefir culture, I noticed the price on it was $5.00. That was in 2018/19. I buy two litres of milk a week, that went up in price to $6.00. It makes three to five batches of Kefir, depending on the amount I make. I have a culture going out on Monday, to a student, that will reduce the amount I am making and increase the length of time between buying milk. This jug has over two of the pints on sale at the grocery store. which is over $26.00! I made a boat-like cavity in the raw sourdough and added Kefir. My mind went to the appearance being Artesian bread when taking it out of the parchment. Making leaven bread with cultures.

After separating the whey from Kefir to make cheese, I decided to use it as a substitute for eggs in bread making. This change had a significant effect. The bread was twice the size as normal using the same recipe. It was lighter and if possible, tastier and more filling.
Kefir supports the skin when it is consumed and when used as a topical. Diet has a big role in the homeostasis of the skin. The skin and intestines seem to share indirect metabolic pathways which may extend to the health benefits of Kefir.
