Lillian feels lost. She’d been so focused on the danger to Lena and the threat Lex was to everyone, so focused on the present, that she hadn’t considered where it would end. Not really. Not even though she’d planned to end it, so that her daughter didn’t have to. 

And yet now her son was dead. Her son, who despite everything, despite all the horrible things he’d done, his madness and his attempts on Lena’s life and her own, despite the fact that he certainly didn’t care for her, she still loved. 

Lillian stumbles into their apartment, closing the door behind her, and calls out, ‘Astra? Are you here?’ 

All she wants, right now, is for someone to hold her.

Nyssa took the infant from Astra the moment her reaction became completely negative rather then positive as Nyssa had originally thought it was going to be.  

❝ I’m not a child, I just didn’t steal some woman’s baby. How heart broken would she be if I just took the child from her. ❞

Fingers brushed delicately against the child’s head brushing the three hairs on his head to one side. A soft smile curling to her lips as she watched his colored eyes stare at her. 

❝ He’s a child of Rao, when Krypton scouts explored the galaxy and fell upon earth thousands of years ago they left their ship behind in ice. Only members of noble houses can activate it, he was the only little pod still alive. What was I suppose to do? Leave him Cryosleep for another thousand years? ❞

Lillian smiles, covering Eliza’s hands with her own and leaning back against her slightly. ‘Hello’, she murmurs, squeezing her hands before she turns in her arms, draping her arms around the woman’s neck and leaning in to press a kiss to her cheek, ‘what’s this for?’
