Han stumbled up the stairway, his vision distorted and his thoughts all blurring together into a mixture of strobe lights, hard liquor, jelly shots, and the pain that thrummed through his head. It was a bright, way too fucking sunny, Wednesday morning and Han knew that he had work in less than two hours, maybe less, but he couldn’t give a shit about it right now. His migraine pounded against the back of his skull, a painful reminder of the night he spent partying as if it were the weekend. Sure, partying on a Tuesday wasn’t ideal, what with him having work the next day, but Han never really thought things through. That was the main difference between him and his mirror image. Lu always worried over the little details, this and that, why and why not, while Han just flowed with whatever he saw fit. He didn’t care about the judgement passed on him or who felt disappointed in his life choices. He would do whatever the fuck he wanted.
Stumbling up the last steps to the third floor, Han rested against the wall for a moment to bite back the bile trying to plunge up his throat and onto the poorly cleaned floor. The party raged on for so long that he’d lost his left sock and almost got his favorite red, leather jacket stolen. There were bits and pieces of the night that would probably remain lost to him, but a girl kept swimming into his disgruntled thoughts. A mess of short blond hair, ruby red lips tugged up into a flirty smile of mischief that matched his own; she was so much more in comparison to the thots that tried to dance on him throughout the night. She had an air of danger about her and Han wanted to get drunk off of it even more than the vodka shots he stole off the bar from people who weren’t paying attention. And she knew, she had to by the way she’d blatantly taunted him, finding him in the packed crowd every few songs to grind on him.
The hybrid took in a deep breath and pushed himself off the wall, his steps staggering as he made it to his apartment door and easily opened up the door, faintly cussing in the back of his head because he’d told Lu to lock the door at least three times before he left.
“Fucking idiot.” Han hissed, stepping inside and slowly closing the door, his clumsy hand managing to lock it after a while. His battered body felt heavy, like lead, and yet there was still a daze in his golden orbs. Perhaps being a hybrid intensified the way he took in alcohol, but he was too tired and sticky with sweat from the night prior to give it any mind. He kicked off his shoes, almost tripping in the process, and slowly dragged himself over to the couch. He pushed off Lu’s abandoned plushies-- he’d told him to cleanup too, but of course Lu wouldn’t listen to him, or he’d forget the second something else caught his attention, like watching stupid Poyopoyo on the television. Han let his body fall onto the couch, groaning as his ears trembled and pressed into his thick, black locks, his tail limply curling over his frail body as he took in a few deep breathes.
His head still pained him, but he couldn’t stop thinking of her and her face and her lips and how he’d almost gotten to kiss her. Almost. He’d managed to lightly press her into the wall by the bathroom, giving her enough ample time and opportunity to push him away. It was only when he really pressed closer that she smiled at him, all eyes and velvety soft mouth, before pushing him off and sweeping past him. It was such a blow to his ego, but it only egged him on to chase after her further. Han loved a challenge, to conquer, and he wanted to have her bent over the closest table and--- He groaned and rested a hand flat to his stomach, pain spinning in circles all over him. Getting too drunk had never been so sucky before.
And he was only hurting himself more by trying to remember her name. He did remember asking her a few times, but the music was too loud or she’d slip away with a sultry smile and it was unfair, but again, Han lived for the chase.
“Ugh.. can’t remember her name..” He slurred out, slipping his hand into his pocket because his fingers had began to feel cold. It took him a few seconds too long to realize his fingers had brushed against a crumpled paper in his pocket. Shrugging, he slowly tugged it out and used one hand to flatten it against the couch before raising it up, squinting enough for his vision to clear somewhat.
The last three digits were nothing but a smudge of red lipstick and black ink.
