throwback to 2 months ago, august 16th 🌥

an ordinary saturday evening at home, like any other, maybe a tad overcast -- & yet, the sky started morphing & opening up before me in the most magnificent displays of color & light.

sunsets are often beautiful moments, but it's still rare for the sky to transform into such a stunning, dramatic spectacle of breath-taking magnitude. rain in the distance on 1 side, slowly setting sun on the other. verdant earth, trees, expansive clouds in between.

and this was just across the road from the house. sometimes you don't have to go too far at all to see the most wonderful things 🌄
