Across the Universe | Nightmare King, Seraphina, Theo | GA Rp
Through the sea of space where stars were as bright as suns, comets trailed through the eternal depths and everything was serenely silent, a lone silver sloop sailed across on the waves of a comet filling the sleek sails. At most time’s the ships that sailed the heavens where either fueled by the astral rays coming from suns and stars and the power went to the rockets that jetted the ship forward, or were they themselves stars that shot through the cosmos. This sloop was like the first, but presently the captain of the vessel surfed upon the wake of the comet for an extra speed and to reserve energy. Soon the vessel would reach a stretch of dead space, where stars and suns where so distant no rays could be caught, and the darkness spread thickly like a heavy blanket.
Though what awaited on the other side? It was but speculation that perhaps there was another galaxy out there entirely.
Why would any venture into this place? This dead space? It was a daring attempt, but the duo of the ship where out on a mission, but sidetracking to hopefully find an answer or two about a mystery.
The woman was young, in her mid adolescence, not yet reached the second century of her life. Skin like alabaster, long ebony hair and eyes of slate blue. A man, not much older than her with dark hair, tall and strong.
This was the young Lady Serapina Pitchiner, daughter of the great general, Kozmotis Pitchiner, her companion; Theo Lassero.
What had taken the much simpler life of this young woman to send her out into the universe? Her search for answers of what had happened near a century ago, what had caused the disappearance of her father and the release of the Fearlings he and the Golden Age armies had fought so hard to lock away. Unlike many others Seraphina did not believe her father was dead, in her hours of waking and sleep she could always hear, feel and sometimes see the figure of her father in some dark lonely place, either in silence or pleading for some one to help, and that he was scared. It had been near a century she had lived with this heaviness on her heart and mind, and she had finally decided she would dare to venture forth and find answers, and perhaps bring her father home.
Theo and Seraphina met amongst the ranks of Novice Star Pilots, and became fast friends.
As the comet sped along she pulled out of it’s wake at the gaping maw of the dead space. The ship would continue to use the momentum of the comets power before she would turn on her power reserves. The sight of the darkness and slipping into it caused a slight raise in the two’s heartbeat, Seraphina’s hands gripped the helm of her ship tightly and she swallowed her anticipation. Her ship glowed with the lanterns strung upon it, and forward she ventured, and did not look back.
