So excited to be returning to this beautiful place to call home for the next 2 years or so and get back to doing the best job in the world. I’m more than ready to begin work, learn new skills (got new cert trainings lined up already 🤙🏼) and challenge myself. Bonafide history nerd @ryan923456 giving me the motivation to visit stuff that’s in my own back yard! Here is a beautiful shot of Valley Forge, the historic winter encampment for the Continental Army in 1777-1778. Growing up in PA, I have access to so many Revolutionary War sites as well as Civil War and close access to other really prominent historical places (DC, Richmond, Boston, NYC etc) . and I take it for granted how steeped in history this area is. Whereas Cali Boy Ryan has dreamed of seeing these places he has studied his whole life. For my last day in Colorado, we ended with a hike. And not just any hike, because we’ve done a lot of those. I hiked my first 14er!!! 3000ft of elevation gain over 4 miles on Torreys Peak, summiting at 14267 feet.
