Rayllum, another bout of teasing from the Silvergrove children about “ten babies” leads to admitting that they have at least started on the first one?
"Mage Callum, where do babies come from?"
"And are you and miss Rayla gonna have one?"
Callum was not ready for questions like these, eyeing the curious, innocent faces of the Silvergrove kids that has teased him and Rayla on that topic before.
"Uh, listen, this-this isn't the topic I'm-I'm qualified to explain..."
"But why? Please tell us!"
"Yes, mage Callum, tell them..."
He was alerted at once when he heard Rayla's voice joining the kids, her piercing gaze putting him in a corner.
"Well, uh, you-you have to, uh, cast a spell, with someone you love...", he began, unable to meet anyone's eyes, especially Rayla's. "...and you have to be adult to cast it, and-and it's very complicated, so..."
"I bet he just doesn't know it!", one of the kids shouted.
"Oh, he does", Rayla countered, and, to Callum's horror, she took over, gaining their attention, "But as he says, it is very complicated, and needs a lot of preparations. Like the incantation is so long his tonghue shometimes ghets numb..."
The kids laughed, as Rayla stuck her tongue out, assuming a mocking voice, which only made his blood freeze.

The kids let out a collective "awww!", which, fortunately, has put that topic to an end.
"I've nearly boiled from the inside!", Callum complained to Rayla afterwards, as they headed home.
"I know. And it was beautiful to watch", she chuckled.
"These kids will be the end of me, I swear..."
"But they love you!", Rayla countered, "And that's because you have the talent, you know how how to talk to them..."
"You're way better with them. Can you imagine, me, with these many kids?"
"Yes, yes, I can.", she answered, causing him to stop and turn around. But it was the frisky sparkle in her eyes, that gave him a far more elaborated answer.
"R-Rayla, do-do you want...?", he asked cautiously, afraid to not overstep his boundaries.
"It's full Moon tonight.", she quickly pointed out. "We can try."
The two young adventurers stared at each other for a while, before rushing to the woods to find some secluded glade where they can cast many spells together. Maybe even ten...
