whats your thesis about? maybe i missed out when you mentioned it before
its like . theres a genre of calligraphic art where people (namely ppl important in religion) are represented uhh well on some level mimetically / pictorially but not actually but actually? like its an icon but also circumvents aniconicism but yknow islam isnt tht aniconic anyway. like depends on how you look at it and i basically look at it every which way and its about the word and the image n the dialectic bw them and like semiotics and stuff jdjfjg sorry i’ll explain better later but i’m very tired rn
