hello, sorry for not responding very fast!! I’m so happy about it too. he’s such a gentleman, sweetheart, etc. the way he thinks of jian yi is so loving and romantic. to answer your question xiao hui called jian yi an “abnormal” / “disgusting gay” in chapter 158.
jian yi did help give her love letter to zhan zheng xi (even though he didn’t really want to) but that was before the incident in which she called him names; however, zhan zheng xi didn’t read bother reading the letter because he finds that type of attention uncomfortable and in his own words “annoying”, since he has no interest in anybody besides jian yi. somehow some rude unknown person (or maybe people) got a hold of the letter and plastered it on a bulletin board for all of the school - everyone - to see. after taking down the letter and helping her, jian yi expresses upset at the fact that since she wrote that letter to begin with, zhan zheng xi become the topic of gossip at school. he didn’t want anybody talking about him involved in some drama, and that is when xiao hui began to say homophobic insults to him because she was upset in the heat of the moment, embarrassed because of everything that was happening, and a little bitter/jealous over the fact that he and zhan zheng xi were so close (at that point, she already knew jian yi liked zhan zheng xi as more than a friend. it wasn’t until after zheng xi officially rejected her that she had a feeling zhan zheng xi liked jian yi as well). when that happened zhan zheng xi comforted jian yi and politely rejected her. she later showed up again, and nervously approached them, probably embarrassed from her behavior towards jian yi before and helped zhanyi to clear mo’s name for a crime he didn’t actually do. overall ever since then she has been polite to jian yi, and jian yi who seemed to quickly forgive her has been polite to her as well. I think within the last chapter where zhan zheng xi admitted his feelings for jian yi to her, she came to finally accept them and was happy for them, albeit heartbroken of course.
