Just found out today that the #EvergreenDiner in #midtown #Nyc closed at the end of 2016. This was a place that served every day #NewYorkers and the prices were just right (sorry #CarnegieDeli). I went almost daily the first couple years I was here. Incredibly quick service and great muffins and pancakes. I remember I took my brother here when he first visited the big city and he was blown away how quick the #breakfast came out and how polite everyone was. My personal best #memories though were those early morning stops there before going into #30Rock as a lowly #NBCPage. The Evergreen staff would always make sure that I got the diner's reserved copy of the #NewYorkDailyNews when I sat at the counter in the morning. For those 20 minutes, I felt like I was the #VIP. R.I.P. Evergreen (at Evergreen Diner)
