I think Sam being John Winchester’s son is up to interpretation.

Have we ever seen some hard proof, like a DNA test?  And even a DNA test can be falsified. After all Supernatural is not about blood, they said “Family doesn’t end with blood”.

Maybe he is Azazel’s son, that’s why his powers were so strong before Kripke chooses to cut that plot. The demon blood was def a cover-up. 

Thinking about it Dean being John’s son is open to interpretation as well.  

Good for Mary, she had a lot of fun outside that shitty marriage.
