Send a 👫 and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship.
Frank thinks Matt’s Daredevil outfit is the stupidest thing on the planet. The whole get up, the entire... it’s dumb. Frank wants to rip those horns off his head and toss them in the east river. ‘Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’ is no better, the entire aesthetic Matt has supposedly ‘not asked for’ makes Frank roll his eyes harder than anything else he’s ever encountered.
Frank doesn’t really believe Matt’s all that good of a lawyer! The dude skipped out on like 90% of his trial, and yeah, Frank kind of sabotaged him at the end of it, but Matt also turned the Castle trial into a thing about vigilantes. I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch that Frank was on the fence about making a scene, and the second Matt went off, he knew what he was going to do. He wasn’t going to get anywhere with Nelson and Murdock- with Nelson, yeah. But not Murdock.
Growing up in and around the boroughs, Frank’s father occasionally took tween Frank to go see local boxing matches or baseball games, and Frank has distant memories of Battlin’ Jack Murdock. He also remembers reading about how the boxer died, and that he left a son behind. They never quite met, but at the time, Frank remembers thinking about that poor kid a fair bit.
He’s killed several of Matt’s clients. There’s no getting around that. If Frank and Matt have recently gotten into a brawl, Frank will send evidence of Matt’s clients more gruesome crimes to the Nelson and Murdock doorstep. Proving a point, in a petty way.
