So I work as a physician, and I typically don't see myself as being that different from other physicians, but I do have a very minor work restriction which is basically that I need to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep a day. Which...should not be controversial, but hey.
And somehow this became a dispute over a two week period involving my work rep, the union, my boss, and the clinical director. With really only the union on my side. Because they just ignored it and scheduled me for 15 weekends essentially back to back, with nights.
It got fixed, but my boss gave me this weird speech about how I'm supposed to be happy with only reasonable accomodation and not perfect? Like I didn't ask for perfect, I asked for you to not break 2 separate labor laws and 1 disability law.
I think I might be kindof done with medicine. These aren't good people.
