anything for you

jung yunho is a fool. stupid. pathetic. he knows it and he can hear those words as he drives, heart pounding, mind split into two scenes he can’t stop going over and over:
1. the girl he is dating looking at him with wide, teary eyes, asking him to not go. 2. the girl he loves, drunkenly crying on the phone, asking him to go find her.
and now here he is.
he parks the car, slams the wheel, angry - not at her no but at himself. angry because he is stupid, dumb, pathetic, a fool. because it’s a thing when you’re deceived by someone who is smarter than you and you only find out you were being manipulated after it happened. but it’s another whole thing to know you’re being played for a sucker and still going, still accepting it, almost saying thank you for it. he remembers his girlfriend holding his hand, asking him, pleading him to not go. she loves him, she really does. yunho doesn’t deserve her.
when he finds her she is sitting on the sideway, the music from the club she was in blasting just behind her. yunho sighs, kneels down, gives a nod to the security guy who seemed to be keeping an eye on her.
“hyorin,” he says, and even though just a few seconds ago he was so angry his voice leaves his lips in a soft tone, one he knows it’s all, all for her. he hates it. he really does. “it’s me. come on, stand up. i’ll take you home.”
