Road tripping across Canada to the west coast, final Day 7. And that's a wrap. I've been on the road for a week now making it all the way from Toronto (technically, Montreal) to Vancouver in just under a week. Looking forward to not living out of a suitcase, at least for the next couple of days. It's been a great road trip, lots of quality alone time spent thinking and reflecting on the past five years since I first did this exact same trip. I have learned and have also grown a lot since then. Life has come full circle in many ways, especially over the past year with so much to be grateful for. So much to look forward to as well. It was also great to do this last leg of the trip to Vancouver with my parents in tow. As we get older, we sometimes forget that our parents are getting older too. Don't forget to tell your parents that you love them. If there is one thing @nextdaybetter + #Vancouver did right last night, it was the spread of food which was off the charts!!! Road tripping across Canada to the west coast, Day 5/6 given the overnight drive from Cranbrook to Vancouver. Played passenger for the first time on this road trip this morning. Managed to convince my Mom and Dad earlier this week to make the trip out to Vancouver with me over the weekend once I arrived in Cranbrook. So here we are. We also took the CR-V instead of the Civic. Not only did I want to spend time with my parents that only a road trip could afford, I also wanted them to get a sense of the work that I've been doing with @nextdaybetter and the global Filipino diaspora these past few years. As it happens, @nextdaybetter + Vancouver #ndbVAN is taking place tonight in the city. Excited to help launch this event tonight!
