"my sister. dana." he'd much rather be anywhere else, but being in town means he's at the beck and call of every family member who wants to see him. even for a public broadcasting fundraising fair. "and who doesn't love pbs?"

hello, i am here to diagnose christian (with fragrance!)

to start, i went with the brand diptyque because their scents are usually quite dreamy and romantic, which really suits christian! opsis in particular is really lovely. the word opsis is greek for 'show' and it was chosen with the intent of capturing the atmosphere of evening theatre. the fragrance contains musk, which lends soft, powdery notes. it has olibanum, which is a type of incense with amber, and vanilla tones. iris adds delicate woody-green, warm florals. and bergamot (my personal favourite) gives a sweet, honey-like citrus, reminiscent of earl grey tea. it's the perfume you smell in dressing rooms while the actors are running lines and applying powder, and it lingers a little bit when you wake up the next morning.

i'm going to add a little bonus too, just because i really like the backstory: fleur de peau, also from the same brand. this one is a tribute to eros and psyche's love story. similar florals and soft musk, with the addition of rose, which i enjoy a lot too.

do you know how precious this message is to me. did you know i read it again every couple of days and go "yeah... Yeah." did you know i haven't responded to it 'cause i'm cradling it in my raccoon-ish little hands. did you know i showed it to a friend and they thought it was as beautiful as i think it is (as they should). like. this is going in my portrayal notes and it's all yours babe

i'm guessing this would be entirely dependent on where she's at in her arc, but in a hypothetical situation where rain does settle somewhere she is at least semi-comfortable with, how do you think she goes about interacting with other people who would be in her regular vicinity? like potential neighbors or workers at nearby grocery stores or anywhere else she might go. do you think she would ever have say, a regular coffee shop or restaurant if given the right situation for it?

oh like. see so the funny thing about it is like, if rain were to actually settle down and really get comfortable, she would be the stereotypical autistic character who has a very strict routine that she follows every single day. not that it would particularly bother her if the routine isn't always followed, and i think she does like some variation, but rain has always found comfort in a nice routine. some of this is how she was raised, and some of this is just who she was as a person. so she would have places that she goes to once a week for lunch or breakfast, a coffee spot where she always orders the same thing and everyone knows her.

i also think that once she has settled somewhere, she is surprisingly quiet for a very long time? it is weird to think about rain fading into the background a bit, but i think her finally shying away from attention is what would get her to settle. after some time she would come out of her shell a bit to coworkers or people she sees on a regular basis, but that would take time. i think she would have to be comfortable being a nobody first, and then kind of build herself up for the first time with the plan of actually staying somewhere long term. aka, she'd have to care about consequences.

a whole lot of maybes BUT alice would very much like to talk about classic lit. also noah lets andie pick out his clothes sometimes, i think she's like his unpaid stylist. and noah and lizzie won't talk about whatever is happening with romeo and andie if they don't have to talk about whatever is going on with them, THANKS!

a whole lot of maybes and guess what! romeo is a dreamer and a lover and those maybes still have him kicking his feet and grinning. there's so many bingos here why are none of them talking to each other yet.

he wants to lean in the doorway, but it’s just the slightest bit too short for his stature so when he has to duck his head to stand he abandons all hope of some wall support. one eye is squinted, hair a mess, he’s at least dressed, but it’s clear that the daylight has only now reached bradley. “no solicitors— there’s a,” he checks first, “we’re working on a sign but when we have a sign it’ll be right here and it’ll say no solicitors.” otherwise, “and if you’re here for andie she’s not here right now. i can’t tell you when she’ll be back. if you know, please let me know because i’d love to know.”

gift paper crinkles and ripples. navigating the beautiful package was a side quest. considerate auggie don’t want to damage his present. (and thousands of papery scraps thrown careless would cause unnecessary mess.)
