how about vessel????

vessel gives me all the emotions like no joke, with both bouncy songs like house of gold and then really introspective ones like trees. at the surface (and i say the surface but its still pretty fucking deep), they’re all about facing really difficult feelings and thoughts and how it’s so hard to work with what you’re given sometimes but you just have to keep pushing forward until you’re better. but then the lyrics (dear god the lyrics) like ‘some see a pen, i see a harpoon’ and ‘you will die, but now your life is free’ just completely envelop that feeling of i-don’t-know-what-to-do-no-one-knows-what-to-do and then it turns it all around and says hey, of course none of us know, but who says we can’t at least try this? it really that whole journey of the darkness caving in with ode to sleep and just trying to make it to the morning with the sunrise of truce and gives the feeling that there’s more to come and you get to write the next verse.
