Last Sunday, 1000 volunteers from unions, schools, corporate organisations and grassroots organisations helped to refresh 95 homes in Tampines! Project Refresh by Young NTUC and North East CDC is the largest in terms of scale so far. Great to see our residents getting their homes ready in time for Lunar New Year. Meet Vanilla Chef, Siti Mastura. Happy to join Mayor Desmond Choo for the sampling session of the Heart Bakers@North East programme 2 weeks ago. The initiative by North East CDC helps stay-home mums from low income families start a small scale home baking business by teaching them baking skills from Chef Siti Mastura, and basic online marketing skills to sell their products online. The programme also sponsored the mums for the WSQ F&B Hygiene certification and sought orders from corporate companies to support the mums.
