Opinion: Hating on roleplayers that don’t get fancy all out the wazoo.

Okay this literally makes no sense, what-soever. Formatting, fancy themes, autoplay, all that shit, it is a preference for a certain type of aesthetic. And you hating on someone because they don’t do the whole nine yards is so shallow. It’s kind of like when people say “I don’t like short hair on girls!!!1!!!”. Actually it is exactly that. Like????

I prefer to use small text and icons because I think it looks pretty. And I like fancy themes as much as the next guy but this sin’t a pageant. It’s about writing. We’re not all trying to get elected for prom queen so none of us need to get dressed up all fancy. It’s a choice to do what we do. And sure if you want to match up to your partner maybe you don’t want to rp with people that don’t do whatever you do.

But to judge someone’s writing ability solely upon if they can slap some and on a post is actually a pretty gross attitude. I mean you don’t have to roleplay with anyone, but it’s so shady to not do it just because someone isn’t using small text. I mean I like to match up with my partner, but I don’t need to. So like shaming people, making them feel shitty for not following another roleplaying trend that’s probably gonna fade out makes me tired of your face.

And if I see someone who writes like a boss but they don’t have a box theme and they barely use icons I don’t give a shit. It’s called a choice people. All this stuff is supposed to decorate your writing. Not be your writing. And let’s just remember most of us started out from “humble beginnings” to. Honestly this is more about practically pointing at people who don’t do what you do and laughing more than it is not wanting to write with people because hey choices.
