breckin reflects life

the day at been a long one, there was no other way to describe it. it was longest day he had ever lived. breckin had snuck out of nat's earlier after she had fallen asleep. he had tried sleeping but it just wasn't working and air seemed like the best option. he would wander back to her place and sneak back in bed later. it was the first time he was alone since the blow up. he needed time to clear his thoughts, it was much needed and most likely the reason for his sleeplessness (pearl is surprised that sleeplessness is actually a word and is not auto corrected. first and last interuption).  without realizing it, he walked to the beach. it was like his body was on auto pilot, he wasn't even sure how long he had been walking for. exhaustion was setting in and he decided to just take a rest. besides, the image of him figuring this all out while sitting on the sand seemed appropriate and little did he know, it would become his main place of escape.

breckin wasn't sure what was going to happen to them. they were still so new to this relationship thing. sure, they had been in each others lives since the beginning but this was different. there was no going back after this. he was terrified that something was going to go wrong and he'd lose nat too. he wasn't sure what he would do without her in his life.  not in that romantic way but in general.

she was the one he went to for everything. things would get awkward at some point, who would he go to know when he needed advice on what to get his girlfriend for her birthday? she was the girlfriend now. he hadn't thought about that small detail until now. it was going to take time to get used to, it's not like they could jump between best friend and whatever they were now mode. the best friend mode he was so used to was gone. it had been gone for a while but now it was official.

things were so much easier when they were kids. hell, he wouldn't mind going back to being teenagers again. at least that was suppose to be confusing and awkward. breckin loved her, he did, that had never been the question. his feelings for her had never really changed, they were still the same as before they started sleeping together. he just loved more things about her now. he never thought he would get to experience new sides of nat. he would have been able to state with confidence that he knew nat inside and out before but now, he really did or at least he was on his way to knowing., in a figurative and literal way.

they were probably moving to fast, couples weren't meant to get this serious so soon but their situation was complicated. they were thrown in the deep end and they would have to find a way to skim the water to stay afloat. they could get through this, it was just a changing period. they would find a way to deal with and grow. he didn't know what the future held but he knew that as long as he was willing to fight for her, there might be a chance to survive. he also knew that when they were older and people asked him if he had always loved nat, his answer would be 'absolutely, i was just too stupid to realize it at first.'. and who knew, maybe there was a reason for all of this, he would never forgive himself for hurting morgan but it had to be part of a bigger plan. he wasn't religious but he liked the idea of fate at the moment. he would find a way to make it up to morgan somehow, giving her space was probably the solution for now. he'll figure out the rest at another time.
