Sometimes the simplest poses are the ones that we need to keep practicing. . We tend to hold a lot of tension in the neck whether we realise it or not. We unintentionally do this while we’re at work, hunched over typing, while working out, and even during yoga poses. Releasing tension in the neck allows the blood to flow a little easier, thus preventing headaches and migraines. It also maintains mobility of the neck. . This neck sequence is short and simple enough that it could be done anywhere - at your desk, before or after your workout/yoga session, in the morning, before bed, etc. . Remember to keep the shoulders relaxed throughout. And you can play around with the chin placement to find that sweet stretch spot. Just make sure to make the movements subtle, small, slow and with awareness. . Take slow breaths, feel the sensations without tensing the body, and enjoy the release! . . . #sunithalovesyoga #yogatutorial #neckrelease
