@necnbible liked this for a lyric starter ( dancing queen by abba ) !!
SHE FLIPS THE RECORD BETWEEN HER FINGERS, unimpressed by steven’s choice in music as she peruses the shelf filled with vinyls and makes a face at just about every one of them. there is NOTHING upbeat here !! nothing she feels like she could really dance to, but if she wanted to tune out his complaints about disco, she would have brought that topic up sooner. instead, she’s content to fish, sighing dramatically as she searches, occasionally pressing her cheek to her shoulder as she looks back at him with her big, doe eyes ( deceptive of the shrill and demanding personality right beneath the surface ).
“YOU KNOW,” jackie starts, dragging out the words, as she taps her fingers along the rim of the record. “it’s friday night and the lights are low.” sure, that’s because eric still hasn’t replaced the lightbulb mr. forman yelled at him about earlier, which is bound to blow up in his face and be funny enough to laugh about later, but it’s also GREAT AMBIANCE ( as great as this dirty basement can be ) to dance to actually good music.
