Vaako hadn’t seen what she had hidden beneath her clothes, the nasty scars on her back though the wounds always felt fresh to her. Every day walking among them though not being part of them made them feel like they were on fire half of the time. Every pale face that she had seen she had just waited to see if she recognized him, the one that had done this to her but hadn’t finished her off, though killing her had no doubt been the ultimate goal. It had been a few years since then but Anna had made sure she hadn’t forgotten his face.
NIGHTS AGO SHE HAD SEEN HIM and as she stared into his cold, dead eyes she realized that he didn’t recognize her. Why should he? Did he remember anyone that he had run his blades through mercilessly? It made being here that much harder knowing how unfeeling so many of them here actually were. She remembered the look on his face as he tore her down and the feeling of his blades running through her back, pressing deeper inside of her and slicing her open. She remembered the warm blood baking on her skin underneath the hot sun. She remembered the PAIN. That she remembered most of all. It still followed her like a phantom. Today was going to be the day he remembered who she was.
Ever since being here she had become more skilled with the way that she handled herself from the way she physically carried herself, how concealed her emotions were, and most of all with the way that she fought. She wasn’t just that street fighter girl anymore good with curled fists and weapons that could blast you right off of your feet. Vaako had been teaching her well, though she never practiced egotism and thought she would be better than any of them. Anna had cornered the necromonger with a blade to his back, much like the three-pronged one that he had used on her those years ago, feeling like it was just yesterday now that she found herself in this position.
As she reminded him what he had done to her, forcing him to RELIVE HER PAIN AND SUFFERING, she didn’t leave out a single detail. He remembered. She could see it in the way he turned to look at her - that was right before he spun really fast and tore the blade from her hands, forcing her to the ground and pressing the staff against her throat. HE TAUNTED HER, laughed in her face about what he had done and how he was sorry he hadn’t finished her off sooner. Anna refused to let him do this to her again, and even as others gathered around them like they were an amusing spectacle, she was going to fight back. The ex-smuggler slammed her head against their own, the pain immediately causing her forehead to throb but the grip against her had been loosened and she squirmed away. As he reached for her, another blow to his face was caused by a hard kick to the face.
Anna had grabbed the staff before she made it to her feet again but only then was she slammed against the wall, the blade trapped between it and her body. ❝ Fuck you! Fuck all of you! ❞ She had screamed at them. The perpetrator that had harmed her in the past stood up, his large body towering over her and a look of pure hatred reflecting in his features. Though she tried to keep a steady grip on it, the blade was ripped from her hands and the back of her shirt was lifted up, scars exposed. The way he smiled - it was disgusting and made her skin crawl. Not one part of him cared about what he had done then and he didn’t care about now either. ❝ This is a shame, ❞ he uttered to her. ❝ Perhaps purification would have been a waste on you anyways. ❞ As the blade pushed up against her back the way it had then, there was swift intervention by the First Commander. She had barely seen what had happened before she was falling to her knees on the floor and taking heavy breaths to compose herself.
Vaako’s booming voice cut through the silence as many of the necromongers put space between him and the sight that was being played out before them. The one who had harmed her, whose name she didn’t even know, stared wildly at the girl on the ground before looking to his commander. She knew that he wanted an answer— why this had been done. Hell, she didn’t even truly understand why he hadn’t forced her into purification himself or let her die either by his hands or their own, but she was grateful that he had come in now when he had. This time those cuts would have killed her, her body bleeding out at their feet.
❝ I’ll tell you why he did it, ❞ she spoke in an exhausted voice, pushing herself up from the ground. ❝ Because he was just trying to finish what he had started three years ago. Did you see it? Did you see what he had been cutting into? No? ❞ She glanced between the necros and finally looked to Vaako, nothing but hate in her brown eyes. Anna turned around, shirt lifting up so that she could show him her back, fresh blood on her back from where the tip of his blade had started to cut into her before he was stopped. After a few moments, she pulled her shirt back down and turned back around. ❝ He didn’t even remember my face…but I never forgot his. I never will. Not until he’s dead. ❞
“Yell at me again, and I’ll give you a real reason to scream.” (oops?)

Anna always remained on the tips of the toes when she was among the necromongers. At any moment any one of them could decide that she wasn’t waste the human breath among their league anymore, ignoring whatever protection that Vaako obliged her with and turn on her. She had no doubt that without his intervention that they could very well succeed in killing her if she did not agree to purification. But there was a sense of comfortability when she was around Siberious Vaako, tension shrugged off though she knew he could be wrathful towards her if he really wanted to. He was definitely not one to hold back on anything. Anna had come to a point where she felt like she could speak her mind rather than push her thoughts down, voicing them when she wanted, even if it was something Vaako did not want to put up with.
Of course he should know Anna by now - know her flirtatious she could be even when threatened, and she wasn’t going to shy away from that now. A small tug pulled at the corner of her mouth and she cooly responded with, ❝ You say that like it’s going to shut me up. You know I like a challenge though, Vaako. ❞ Her brow rose upwards, feeling both playful and daring, though more so the latter. ❝ I’ll raise my voice when I see fit. You don’t control me. ❞ She should have been careful, but this was Anna, and she would dare to cross those lines.
@necroiism from here !
Anna was a STREET FIGHTER, but that could only get her so far in the world of necromongers given she was part of it now, at least to an extent. She was still the only one with warm blood being pumped through her body - A HUMAN, something that didn’t go appreciated among the others. She counted her blessings that none of them had turned on her this far. Hence the special training. She wanted to do more than just assault people with her fists whether for pleasure or survival. She wanted to know how to fight like a warrior, a necromonger warrior. She’d never be as good as them, not unless she became one herself, but it was a start, and she thought she had the best teacher.
She challenged him, and there was a special sort of glint in her eye as she did so. Vaako could take this as far as he wanted to, even if that meant leaving her a bleeding mess on the floor. She never expected to end any sort of training without aches and pains, bruises and cuts. Anna’s body was screaming in agony yet, and she wasn’t going to give up either. When did she ever do something like that in her life? She was always one to keep pushing back, even if she ended up losing in the end. A swift movement of his staff and her tripping over her feet, gasping as she thought she’d end up on the floor, but instead she was shoved up against the wall, back of her head banging against it in the process but it hardly felt as bad as some of the other injuries she’d sustained so far. Some fresh, some healing.
Trapped between him and the wall, Anna panted hard. She had put up a good fight, one that paid off in blood. Up close she could see the damage done as he wiped the blood from his split lip. A sense of pride swelled inside of her knowing she had done good, not to mention his compliment did mean a lot. Through a deep breath she managed a smile. ❝ I never thought a human could impress you...but then again I like to think that I am the impressive type. ❞ A laugh escaping through a pant. Her smooth tongue always at work as if she was still making smuggling deals. A tiger never lost its stripes no matter where it was.
Before she could even predict Vaako’s next move, he surprised her as he tugged her legs around his hips and pulled her body closer to his own. She could feel the heave of his chest as his pants died down against her own chest, still trying to relax herself from the sparring session. There was nothing sweet, nothing gentle about the way that he was suddenly kissing her and Anna would not have it any other way. The moment was too heated for anything else, and she found herself kissing the commander back with the same FEVER he expressed agaisnt her mouth. She could taste the blood on her lips, on her tongue, moaning against his mouth from both passion and loss of breath. Anna didn’t know what had come over him, the hard man who would have had her on her knees prepared to die for not surrendering to him when they first met. She didn’t know what had come over her either as a hand that had been freed now reached up to grasp the side of his face, tips of her fingers dragging down his jawline that had her heart racing.
