Leblanc has low traffic on the evenings. People go to the family owned hideaway/diner for three reasons.
One, conversations with Sojiro. He's stern, but not prickly and you'll be hard pressed to offend him. The renowned Boss of Leblanc is knowledgeable and astute.
Two, the coffee. Made by Boss, it is an artisan’s trade. Bitter and rich, each cup is not so much a product, but rather an art form.
Three, the curry. The initial ingredients and recipe was Sojiro's, but only refined by Wakaba’s talents. Perhaps a less notable legacy than her research into Cognitive Psience, but maybe a more noble one.
Futaba is here for reasons two and three. All-nighters require fuel and her dad's cooking is just the ticket. Plus she can keep an eye on the bugs she planted about the place, catch up with whoever is at Leblanc, annoy Joker, all that good stuff. But Sae Niijima is here for none of those reasons. She's here for Futaba. Or well, Oracle.
She once came here to rip Futaba's mother's research from Sojiro's grasp in pursuit of the one behind the mental shutdowns.
But now Sae's one of them. And she knows full well who's behind the mental shutdowns. So that research is getting returned to its rightful place, in a bulging folder placed on the table for Futaba’s perusal.
