The Necronox and Sylvanox are not your typical fae. Though they are regarded as Unseelie and Seelie they have their own courts within their own hives and are not governed by any outside authority. They also have no weakness to any metals, running water will not harm them (unless they were to drown) and it doesn't matter how you speak to them or if you share with them your name because they’ll always view outsiders as either danger or prey and will themselves speak as little as possible to those intruding on their territory. They are fae, yet are different from others under the fae umbrella. They also do have a wild hunt, but this not the same thing as the traditional wild hunt. The wild hunt for the Necronox and Sylvanox actually has nothing to do with hunting at all and more to do with fulfilling a destiny seen within a dream or vision (inspired by the sylvari from gw2).

The Necronox and Sylvanox are on opposite sides of the same cycle of nature. The Necronox are nocturnal unseelie,  they feed on blood and hunt to survive. But something else they’re renowned for is their ability to grow fungus of varying descriptions. They can grow fungus on the trunks of dead plants or animals which in turn will help to break them down into a form which new plants can feed on their nutrients, which is where their part in the cycle meets with the Sylvanox who can encourage new plants and trees to grow from this soil which can feed and protect both themselves and the wildlife around them. It sounds bad when you put it as “Necronox are about death and decay, Sylvanox are about life and growth”. But when you put them together and understand the cycle its becomes clearer they both offer aspects to each other that actually keep the system going and keep nature at a balance to which it doesn't implode on itself. Unfortunately they are not willingly working together as the Necronox are in fact natural predators of the Sylvanox in the same way Vampires are predators to humans. But they are a part of the same system regardless.
