Ross gives good hug.
First half of series 5 : oh, maybe I've been too quick to judge, I mean, poor George, I do pity him a little.
George in episode 5 : goes on to be a racist, self-centered, obsessive, selfish, abusive, hateful, narcissistic prick.
Me: NEVER MIND, he's still an asshole of premium quality.
Two episodes left and I've finished Poldark. Series 5 is... Different indeed. But still very good. Less twists of fate leaving you breathless and shaking with stress, more 19th century British court political conspiracies and social commentary. I applaud Ross' loyalty and admiration for his friend but I would have jumped ship ages ago, sorry not sorry. Ned is way too much problem and not enough self-preservation. Like Brother Sam would say : help yourself and the heavens will help you - do everything in your power to appear like a rebellious, violent, angry man and mate, I'm not following you down the drain. And look at what happens.
The ending of episode 6!!! I'm yelling! Has Ross not gone through enough? Doesn't Demelza have enough problems to fix? Let them reeeeeest.
Just a little bit of Poldark + Troubled Birds.
